HALF DAY VISIT IN BARRANQUILLA

Half day scenic visit in Barranquilla starting in the north, in the historic El Prado district with its American and European style architecture. The tour continues towards the river and seaport of Barranquilla, it is the northern port of Colombia and South America continent and is located on the bank of Magdalena River and few kilometres away from the sea. It represents a key point for the national economy. Then, you will visit La Casa del Carnaval, a place that exposes masks, costumes and other elements related to the maximum festival of the city, “The Carnival of Barranquilla”, and where you will learn about the cultural manifestations of the event; and the Museo del Caribe, where you will observe the roots of the Colombian Atlantic coast and appreciate the works of Gabriel Garcia Márquez and the exhibits that highlight the music, parties, literature, indigenous culture, and nature of the region. Finally, you will visit the Teatro Municipal de la Rosa, which is 28 years old and was named like to live up the poet and dramatist Amira Arrieta, the author of the city’s hymn; and the Parque de los Fundadores de la Aviación.
