Moravia is today one of the benchmarks for social and urban transformation in Medellín. It densely populated neighborhood, due to the number of displaced people left by the armed conflict in the country, was once the municipal garbage dump of the city and where residents used to live in extreme poverty. Currently, Moravia has changed, it generated an intervention that improved public health and it is articulating the neighborhood to the dynamics of the city. Environments were embellished, sustainability projects were developed, and cooperatives were formalized.
The experience begins with a tour in the neighborhood to see the social transformation created by the community itself. Also, the streets of the neighborhood will be explored to know the history getting to the old garbage hill transformed into a beautiful garden. At the end, you will get to know the community projects that are running in here.
